Who We Are

For more than 45 years, Marcellino Van Hoof has lived and breathed antiques.

Antique hunting is more than a way to make a living for this antique picker from The Netherlands; it’s a passion. Customers from all over the world have come to rely on Marcellino’s talent to find one-of-a-kind items.

When he was just 7 years old, Marcellino started his career in buying and selling antiques at a market in the Belgian town of Turnhout. He sold delft blue vases and other small items he had located with his father. For more than 30 years father and son scoured markets in Belgium, church rectories in France, or estate sales in the Netherlands to find antiques. Father has since passed away, but his memory lives on in the treasures Marcellino has found with him. Throughout the 1990s and into the 2000s, Marcellino exported hundreds of containers from Europe to antique dealers in the US. In 2013, with help from his wife Kate, he decided to open his own store in the US. They found the perfect building in Cambridge City Indiana, the heart of Indiana’s antique alley. The location they discovered at 1 West Main Street was built in 1900.

With the help of trusted friends and family in the US, Europa Antiques has become a destination location. We are proud to import top quality antiques, antique salvage and vintage décor to America’s midwest.
